Well I’ll start by saying that I loved it!
This year one day of my summer holidays I went to see a place that I have always wanted to visit, the Badoca Safari Park. If you are like me and like safari’s and are interested in the different species that exist in the world of safari, Badoca is the place to visit.
As you know I use a wheelchair every day and usually these types of places are not the most suitable to visit due to the type of surface (sand/gravel), but with the amazing people (family) that I had with me, we went in and these amazing people helped me so much on this day to ‘push’ my wheels.
Honestly I was so happy to be visiting a beautiful place that I did not even notice the surface much, I think my family noticed it more than me, they had the work of helping me around everywhere and I just had to worry about getting to know the whole park and seeing everything.
10:30 in the morning – was the time we arrived in Badoca Park, we arrived at the ticket office and asked for our tickets and we were asked if we wanted any more activities and we chose African Rafting, I’ll tell you more about this soon. After we left the ticket office we took a family photo.
We went to see the safari, I have always had interest in knowing different species and wild animals, I have always wanted to have the experience of a safari. Well after this safari, I can say that I would do everything again, I loved it and the safari guide was spectacular, very friendly, explained a lot about the different species.
African Rafting, I had never done it, at the ticket office it was not recommended that I do it because of my disability incase of injury, which I completely understand but my family took responsibility for me and I went to do African rafting, if you are a person who likes strong emotions and a bit of adrenaline, this Park attraction is for you! I can say that it was the first time and I loved it and would do it again, even with reduced mobility there was no problem at all in doing the African rafting. I recommend Badoca Park to everyone, its amazing to get to know the wildlife and interact with them, and turns out to be an unforgettable day, spent as a family or with friends, I have to admit that it is a tiring day but those who run with passion do not get tired!
The facilities of the park are accessible for people with reduced mobility, there are bathrooms for people with disabilities, accessible restaurant, the most difficult part I would say is the surface but with the help of my family, I saw everything had to see, I had to be transferred from my chair to the transportation of the safari and also to the African rafting boat, but the park staff are very friendly and I am sure they would help with whatever was needed.

Neste post vou contar-vos sobre o dia que passei no Badoca Safari Park – Portugal…
Bem vou começar por dizer que adorei!
Este ano um dia das ferias de verão fui para conhecer um sitio que sempre quis visitar, o badoca Safari park. Se es como eu e gostas de safari’s e conhecer as espécies diferentes que existe no mundo do safari, o Badoca é o sitio indicado para visitares.
como sabem uso diariamente uma cadeira de rodas e normalmente estes tipos de sitio não os mais indicados para visitar devido ao piso que tem de terra, mas com as pessoas (familia) espetaculares que tenho a minha volta la fomos nos e essas pessoas espetaculares ajudarão me muito neste dia a ‘empurrar’ as minhas rodas. Sinceramente estava tão feliz por estar a visitar um sitio lindo que nem notei muito o piso, acho que notaram mais a minha familia que tiveram o trabalho de meu ajudar e eu so tive a preocupação de conhecer o park todo.
10:30 da manha – foi a hora que chegamos em família ao Badoca Park, chegamos a bilheteria e pedimos os nossos bilhetes e perguntaram se queríamos mais alguma atividade e escolhemos Rafting Africano, vou falar mais sobre isto daqui a pouco. Depois de sairmos da bilheteira tiramos uma foto em familia.
Fomos conhecer o safari, sempre tive interesse em conhecer diferentes espécies e animais selvagens, sempre quis ter a experiência de um safari. Bem depois deste safari, posso dizer que fazia tudo de novo, adorei e o guia do safari fui espetacular, muito simpatico, explicou muito sobre as diferentes espécies.
Rafting Africano, nunca tinha feito, na bilheteira não era recomendável eu fazer devido a minha deficiência mas a minha familia responsabilizou-se por mim e la foi eu fazer rafting africano, se es uma pessoa que gosta de emoções fortes e um pouco de adrenalina esta atração do park e para ti! eu posso dizer que foi a primeira vez e adorei e fazia de novo, mesmo com mobilidade reduzida não houve problema nenhum em fazer o rafting africano. Recomendo a todos o Badoca Park, conhecer os animais selvagens and interagir com eles, e um dia inesquecível, passado em familia ou com amigos, tenho que admitir também que e um dia cansativo mas quem corre por gosto não cansa!
As instalações do park são acessíveis para pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, tem casas de banho para pessoas com deficiência, restaurante acessível, a parte mais difícil e o piso mas com ajuda da minha familia, vi tudo o tinha para ver, tive que ser transferida da minha cadeira para o transporte do safari e também para o barco do rafting africano, mas o staff do park são muito simpáticos e tenho a certeza que ajudavam para o que fosse preciso.
